URGENT: Senior Structural / Welding Inspector
We are urgently recruiting for a Senior Structural / Welding Inspector to oversee fabrication activities for large offshore wind structures and substructures. This role is critical in ensuring all works meet the highest project, industry, and regulatory standards.
Location: Verdal -Norway
Duration: 6 days/week, 2-year contract
Start Date: 1 September 2025
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor fabrication works including fit-ups, dimensional checks, welding processes and NDT activities.
- Liaise with site teams, attend inspections, reviews, and quality meetings.
- Oversee workmanship quality, materials traceability, welder qualifications, and WPS compliance.
- Review and approve quality documentation including ITPs, welding, and NDT procedures.
Requirements
- Own Eligibility to work in the EU; client is not able to sponsor
- CSWIP 3.1 (or equivalent) – mandatory.
- Additional relevant certifications (NACE, NDT, H&S, ISO QMS Auditor) – desirable.
- HNC/HND or craft qualification in structural or mechanical discipline.
- Professional level written and spoken English.
Experience
- Significant supervisory or client inspector experience in offshore fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, NDT, and coating methods for large offshore structures.
- Familiarity with NORSOK/DNV or equivalent offshore standards.
- Ability to work independently and proactively within a team environment.
