Senior Services Engineer – Italy (Remote/Flexible, Ideally Rome-Based)
Location: Italy (preferably Rome, but flexible with remote support)

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Services Engineer to join our dynamic Services team in Italy. While the ideal location is Rome, we offer flexibility with remote work options depending on candidate location.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Services Engineer, you will act as the primary technical point of contact for designated customers, delivering advanced support and expertise on company equipment, with a strong focus on DWDM, Network Management systems, and secondarily, Access Ethernet and synchronization technologies.
Core Responsibilities
Product Introduction:
- Serve as the technical interface for product homologations, proofs of concept, advanced demos, and trials.
Product Integration:
- Commissioning, including configuration, establishing DCN, and full functional testing.
- Collaborate with or supervise service partners as needed.
- Deliver onsite or remote technical support independently or under guidance from product experts.
- Prepare detailed documentation and acceptance packages at project completion.
Training Delivery:
- Conduct product training sessions for customers or partners using provided technical documentation.
Network Lifecycle Support:
- Perform network audits, upgrades, and quality corrections.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in technical and operational meetings.
- Prepare, lead, and document product presentations.
- Manage support cases during specific project phases.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of optical transmission, including DWDM systems, ROADM, and optical amplifiers, as well as the relevant supervision tools.
- Experience with optical path testing, loss/dispersion measurement, and transmission testing.
- Ability to interpret and analyze OSA, OTDR, and BER test results.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Comfortable working in high-pressure or time-sensitive environments.
- Native Italian speaker with proficiency in English.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in telecommunications transmission technologies, preferably with a telecom operator or vendor.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Valid driving license.
