Our client, a fast-growing fintech innovator, is looking for a Go/PHP Software Engineer to join their hybrid-remote engineering team, MUST be based in Cape Town . You’ll have the chance to build high-performance, secure, and scalable financial systems that impact thousands of users every day.

Your Role
- Build, maintain, and optimize production-grade fintech applications.
- Collaborate with a distributed, agile team on architecture and development.
- Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and performant.
- Contribute to technical decisions and shape the technology roadmap.
What You Bring
- BSc in Computer Science or related degree.
- Proven experience in fintech or financial systems development.
- Proficiency in Go and/or PHP.
- Strong experience with LAMP/LEMP stacks.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Comfortable working remotely and in an agile team environment.
Additional Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with Ubuntu-based systems, AWS, or DigitalOcean.
- Containerization experience (Docker) and CI/CD pipeline knowledge.
- Database and data pipeline design/optimization experience.
- Knowledge of security best practices in financial applications.
