An international technology-focused organization is embarking on an exciting growth journey into Morocco and is seeking a Country Manager to spearhead this expansion. This high-impact leadership role offers the opportunity to shape strategy, lead market development, and build local partnerships and operations from the ground up.

You’ll work across all facets of business development, stakeholder engagement, operational set-up, and financial oversight to drive long-term success in Morocco.
Key Responsibilities
Market Strategy & Entry
- Develop and execute the market entry strategy for Morocco based on in-depth research and competitive analysis.
- Identify opportunities and barriers to entry, and develop tailored go-to-market plans.
- Localize products, services, and messaging to suit market conditions without compromising global brand consistency.
Sales Leadership & Growth
- Lead the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting and pipeline creation through to proposal development, tender responses, and deal closure.
- Build strong, senior-level relationships across government, public transport entities, and other key stakeholders.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to align go-to-market plans with regional needs.
P&L Ownership
- Take full responsibility for revenue growth and profitability in the Moroccan market.
- Analyze financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost optimization strategies.
- Forecast revenues and manage commercial risk while ensuring sustainable growth.
Operations & Team Development
- Oversee the operational setup in Morocco, including recruitment of local talent and establishment of local infrastructure where needed.
- Build and lead a small cross-functional team aligned to company values and performance goals.
- Champion internal collaboration with legal, HR, finance, product, and delivery teams to ensure smooth execution of expansion plans.
Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance
- Cultivate strong working relationships with public sector leaders, regulators, industry partners, and other influencers.
- Ensure compliance with all local laws, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the company at industry events, public forums, and in the media.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in senior commercial or market leadership roles, with a proven track record of opening and growing new geographic markets.
- Deep understanding of the Moroccan business environment, including regulatory frameworks and public-sector engagement.
- Demonstrated success in P&L ownership, sales leadership, and large deal closure.
- Existing relationships within Moroccan government, transport, or infrastructure sectors would be highly advantageous.
- Fluency in English, French, and Arabic is essential.
