First Point Group has exciting opportunities for Civils Supervisor / Site Supervisor with current / recent UK experience on fibre civils projects. You must hold SA002 and SA002 certifications and provide daily on-site supervision of build activities in relation to civils field work.
Depending on where you are based, this opportunity may require you to stay away from home as it requires 5 days a week providing supervision on site.

Job Description:
As the Civils Supervisor / Site Supervisor, you will support our client’s fibre build and ensure all civils field activities are undertaken to a high standard and against the customer’s agreed designs, ensuring Health and Safety requirements and quality are all aligned.Key Tasks:
- Oversee daily on-site progress of construction and installations, ensuring tasks are completed according to agreed timelines and quality standards as executed by designated construction partners.
- Analyze and interpret construction documentation, ensuring alignment with all applicable guidelines and requirements. Conduct walkthroughs with relevant stakeholders to verify compliance.
- Ensure the latest construction packs, methodologies, and procedures are being utilized, and distribute them to construction partners to monitor adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Validate and approve any changes or variations affecting cost or schedule, ensuring they are backed by proper authorization.
- Confirm the availability and timely delivery of all required materials before initiating work.
- Supervise construction activities in alignment with the provided project documentation.
- Manage relationships with construction partners, ensuring they allocate adequate resources to meet agreed-upon milestones.
- Verify that all partner teams possess the necessary qualifications and expertise for the tasks at hand.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track daily progress with construction partners, maintaining updates on relevant tools (e.g., RoT/WF), and approve or reject completed work as necessary.
- Oversee and formally accept all completed work up to the site handover phase.
- Ensure the delivery of all required project outputs meets quality standards.
- Review, approve, or reject "As-Built" documentation submitted by construction partners to maintain accurate project records.
- Establish and sustain communication with essential stakeholders, such as road authorities, municipalities, asset owners, and internal support teams.
- Engage with local authorities and attend relevant meetings on street works as required.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards by all construction partners, safeguarding public safety and compliance with lifesaving protocols.
- Conduct on-site quality, health, and safety assessments, identifying risks and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements for civil engineering standards and qualifications (e.g., NRSWA), including public safety measures like proper signage and lighting.
- Support investigations into penalty charges or enforcement notices issued by regulatory authorities.
- Assist project health and safety managers in promoting a positive safety culture across sites.
- Track and reconcile material usage against the bill of materials (BOM), ensuring proper reporting by construction partners regarding shortages, damages, or excess materials. Oversee proper waste material handling as per legislative standards.
- Provide immediate resolutions to identified issues or escalate them as required.
- This role involves close collaboration with multiple stakeholders and partners to ensure seamless project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and safety.
