FPG is proud to be partnering with a Leading Regional Telecom Operator to support the appointment of their Chief Financial Officer.
This key leadership role will be responsible for the company's administrative, financial, and risk management operations — including the development of financial and operational strategies, performance metrics aligned with those strategies, and robust control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Financial Leadership:
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to align financial strategy with business goals
- Provide insights and recommendations on performance, budgeting, and operational delivery
- Oversee long-term financial planning, investment, and cost management
- Guide annual objectives and support board committees (finance, audit, investment)
Planning & Performance:
- Lead the development and execution of strategic and financial plans
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and performance measurement
- Define tax and financial strategies aligned with corporate goals
Financial Operations:
- Ensure financial systems and reporting comply with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Maintain internal controls and manage audit activities
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, reporting, cash flow, and banking relationships
- Manage outsourced financial functions and transaction processing systems
- Implement best practices and report financial results to the CEO
Technology & Systems:
- Collaborate with IT to deploy finance systems that support growth and scalability
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team
- Oversee training, work allocation, performance evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration
External Relations:
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
- Represent the company in financial discussions with stakeholders
Key Requirements:
Professional Experience:
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership, preferably in telecom or large enterprise environments
- Experience managing full finance functions (accounting, budgeting, controls, reporting)
- Proven track record partnering with C-suite and executive teams
Skills & Competencies:
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Hands-on, proactive leader with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset
- Effective communicator at all levels; fluent in English (Kurdish/Arabic a plus)
- Strong integrity, deadline-focused, and detail-oriented
- Experience with IT-finance systems and government audit processes (OMB)
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus
