FPG is delighted to have partnered with a rapidly growing Digital Services Provider, supporting them in their search for a Business Development Leader with a strong sales hunter mindset to drive new IT and digital transformation deals in Abu Dhabi's Public Sector, Utilities, and Large Enterprises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business development and go-to-market (GTM) strategy for Abu Dhabi
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with government entities, utilities, and large enterprises
- Drive sales of digital transformation, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, data analytics, ERP, and IT-managed services
- Build and execute account penetration strategies to secure long-term contracts and multi-year deals
- Engage with C-level executives, IT decision-makers, and procurement heads to position solutions effectively
- Leverage strong relationships within Abu Dhabi government departments, utilities (e.g., ADWEA, TAQA), telecoms, oil & gas, and large corporates to drive business opportunities
- Stay updated on government digital initiatives, smart city projects, sustainability goals, and regulatory changes to align solutions accordingly
- Navigate government procurement processes, RFPs, and vendor registration requirements
- Develop and maintain strategic alliances with local technology partners, system integrators, and consulting firms to expand the sales pipeline
- Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets, ensuring a strong pipeline and forecast accuracy
Role Competencies & Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience with a strong track record in hunting and closing large IT deals in the public sector, utilities, telecom, oil & gas, and large enterprises
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation, cloud, cybersecurity, ERP, AI, and data analytics solutions
- Deep understanding of UAE government procurement, tenders, and vendor registration processes
- Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
- Ability to navigate government contracting and compliance regulations
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a target-driven environment
- Base location must be Abu Dhabi
