We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join a global leader in the information technology and telecommunications industry. This is your chance to drive sales, foster strategic relationships, and contribute to the success of a highly respected international company in the South African market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve assigned sales and profit targets, along with other performance metrics.
- Participate in market expansion and brand promotion efforts across South Africa, identifying and exploring project opportunities.
- Collaborate with product teams to understand customer needs and formulate product strategies that align with client goals.
- Identify and engage key decision-makers, build and maintain strong relationships, and gather crucial project information throughout the bidding process.
- Manage contract negotiations, ensure timely payment collections, and oversee the entire sales process from start to finish.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong insight into the telecommunications operator market, with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in telecommunications or a related field, with at least three years of experience in product/service sales to major telecom operators in South Africa.
- Must have experience with Fiber to the X (FTTx) technologies and a proven ability to manage projects and clients within this domain.
- Flexible and innovative approach to customer relationships, a proactive mindset, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with responsibility and drive.
- Fluent in English, with strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Based in Johannesburg, with a willingness to travel to other cities in South Africa as needed.
